Our Qualifications

Gary Barnes is a graduate of Florida State University holding a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Business.  Gary also holds Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 FINRA licenses, held through LPL Financial.  In addition, Gary holds Insurance Licenses from the State of Virginia. 

Mr. Barnes specializes in asset allocation, potential tax-free bonds*, retirement income strategies, and long-term strategic investment planning. 

Gary is active with several charities in the area and is a past member on the Scholarship Committee for Harmony United Methodist Church.  Also, Gary is a past Treasurer of the YMCA.

Matt Smolsky is dedicated to providing his clients with the utmost in sound investment advice.  He has served in the financial industry as a member of the Barnes Group since 1992.  Matt also holds Series 7, 63 and 65 FINRA licenses through LPL Financial.  In addition, Matt holds life, health, and annuities insurance licenses from the state of Virginia.  

Matt is a graduate of the University of Maryland holding a Bachelor of Science degree.  Matt and his family reside in Leesburg and enjoy the benefits of living in our community.  He grew up in Leesburg and graduated from Loudoun County High School.  Matt has volunteered in the community over the years in activities ranging from youth basketball to the volunteer fire department.
